The Lahontan cutthroat trout is a native of the Great Basin. Because it tolerates water too alkaline for other trout, Lahontan cutthroats are stocked in alkaline lakes outside its native range, including Washingtons Lake Lenore, Grimes and Omak lakes, and Mann Lake.
