Much of Harrison was reduced to rubble after a fire devastated the town July 21, 1917. This shows the aftermath on July 27, 1917. The town rebuilt and is celebrating its survival during the 100 Year Fire Commemoration starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Celebrating Harrison's fireproof spirit
On July 20, 1917, Harrison was a busy, bustling, up-and-coming North Idaho mill town.
