The Sting Timbers FC 03 Boys Red soccer team won the U14 Gold cup championship at the Bill Eisenwinter Hot Shot Tournament in Coeur d’Alene on May 7. In the first match, the Sting beat Flathead Rapids 5-1. Cooper Proctor scored a hat trick and Christopher Swider scored twice. With Tyler Allred as goalkeeper, the Sting shut out Mt. Avalanche Blue 4-0 in the second match. Nate Durocher scored twice and Miles Jones and Walker Jump each scored once. The Sting beat Flathead Force Green 4-2 in the final match. Goals were scored by Walker Jump, Connor Norris, Cooper Proctor and Christopher Swider. In the front row from left are Ashton Fredekind, Tyler Allred, Ronan Malaghan, Miles Jones, Christopher Swider, Brennan Miller, Michael Schlothauer and Walker Jump; and back row from left, Kyler Haynes, Connor Norris, Nate Durocher, Quinn Clovis, Jack Pinto, Cooper Proctor, Owen Smith and coach Julio Morales.
