<p>Janet Torline, board president of the Kootenai Environmental Alliance, places a bundle of yellow monkeyflower into the surface of a floating treatment wetland Thursday at McLean's Bay on Hayden Lake. A team of environmentalists and local homeowners gathered to create the floating wetlands in order to reduce the phosphorus levels of the lake which can be damaging to the ecosystem.</p>
