<p>SHAWN GUST/Press Piper Wasson, 6, browses the selection of books Thursday during the Santa and a Book event at Ponderosa Elementary in Post Falls. Hundreds of students had a chance to meet Santa, make Christmas decorations and write letters before receiving a book each. Spokane Teachers Credit Union sponsored a large portion of the event with a $1,000 donation.</p>
