CRUZ: Seven-gun salute
Below are seven reasons for pro-gun rights citizens to vote for Ted Cruz.
KEC: Questionable election
After all the power outage issues last year I decided to run for Kootenai Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors area wide open board seat. As a journeyman electrician with many years in the field and decades of…
FORESTS: Need local control
It doesn’t make much sense to have government bureaucrats in Washington to control nearly half of all land in Idaho — especially with timber communities struggling to survive and wildfires raging out of control.
GITMO: Waste of money
Question: Who is the recipient of the $450 million it costs annually to babysit 100 terrorists at Guantanamo Correctional Facility? That is an insane amount of money to house so few. I never thought too much about …

A legislator in New York has proposed legislation to prevent the use of food stamps to buy lobster, cigarettes and other expensive items.

SAMUEL: Hope for the future
I’m submitting this letter to thank the Coeur d’Alene Press for its editorial on 02/21/16 regarding Eldon Samuel. The Press gave thoughtful regard to everything that needs further consideration in this tragedy and …
WOLVES: It's the habitat, dummy
Idaho Department Fish and Game, in conjunction with the USDA Wildlife Services, despicably gunned down 20 wolves over the Clearwater National Forest in north-central Idaho earlier this month. Helicopter gunning of …
