Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
COUNTY: No czar wanted
I strongly oppose your endorsement (Editorial of Sunday, Sept. 10) of a professional administrator to run Kootenai County because this powerful bureaucrat would not be elected by the citizens and therefore not held…

I was surprised and dismayed by the letter sent to your subscribers declaring that carriers will no longer deliver to the porch. The distribution department obviously missed the letter printed in The Press informin…
OUCH: That left a mark

Wow! Nothing like ruffling a few feathers — no, a lot of feathers. I had no idea my opinion meant so much.
COUNTY: Growth is enough
Regarding the 1.5 percent property tax increase, thank you, Lagonda McDonald, for your direct response Wednesday. Many of us feel the same.
TRAFFIC: Needlessly nasty
I work at a campground on I-90. I travel from Northwest Boulevard to Exit 22 four days a week. Last Saturday, of all days, the freeway was narrowed from Sherman to Blue Creek. So, all weekend long, the bottleneck t…
WESTON: Hat's off to you
Had to comment on the photo of the 2-year-old saluting the flag.
