DIVERSTIY: Important messages hit home
Sunday’s Coeur d’Alene Press had two extremely important articles. The first was the Coeur d’Alene editorial entitled “Racist lessons won’t be lost in North Idaho.” The second was the guest opinion, “We support div…
RACISM: No, just Thought Police
In reading the front page Press article from July 28, “Racism on Parade?,” I see the Thought Police among us are alive and well. The concept of the Thought Police was popularized in George Orwell’s novel, “1984,” w…
THANKS: From appreciative young angler
Thank you very much for helping me rebuild my tackle box. I appreciate the outpour of love from our amazing community. Thank you!
TRUMP: A bully who belittles women
I must respond to Nancy and her defense of our “Dear Leader” in her July 21 letter to The Press. She must only watch Fox News as she expounds her hatred of four women whom she claims are “picking on the Donald.” Bu…

CARDIAC: Rehab team of all-stars
I would like to give a shout out to the Kootenai Health Cardiac Rehab staff (Claudia, Paul, Debra, Rita, Ashlee and Eddy). These folks really care about helping and educating people like me who have had a heart att…
REBUTTAL: Be careful with comparisons
Oh, my… where do I begin?
HISTORY: Not to be whitewashed
Recently, I read an article about Washington High School in San Francisco. Evidently there is a mural there by a Russian-American artist and a Stanford University professor done in 1936 depicting George Washington …
