CLIMATE: Why 1880 is important
Al Gore’s book “An Inconvenient Truth” © 2007 reflected worldwide fear of catastrophic global warming and flooding from rising oceans. In response, world leaders in Paris adopted the Paris Agreement in 2015.
GUNS: Fair should be unarmed
Regarding the article “Guns — but not gunshots – expected at Fair,” this article is very one sided. We should all be free to live without the fear of being shot. I’m a volunteer with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sens…
GUNS: Nothing to see here, folks
Re: “Guns” at the Fair — Here we go again with The Press and another banner headline trying to create “issues” where there are none. Don’t you folks ever get tired of yourselves? Ms. Jordan gave the succinct and pe…
POEM: OUR AMERICA
I’ve got hate, fear and an AK-47.
GUNS: The enemy is mental illness

INCIDENT: Praise - and disgust
Sunday, July 28 I was trying to make a right-hand turn onto Ramsey Road off Kathleen and my small pickup died. There was a ton of traffic at each intersection, but one wonderful young man jumped out of his rig, cro…
LEVIES: Real problems, wrong answers
Attention local property owners. I see another group of school levies coming up in our future, replacing asphalt parking lots in area schools. I’ve gone by a number of area schools and see parking lots deterioratin…
ARTICLE: Setting the record straight
The recent Associated Press story (U.S. issues hacking security alert for small planes, July 30) missed or mischaracterized some key points about small-airplane security.
