OPINION: Just like everyone else, Idaho’s Attorney General must comply with the law
Three years ago, I joined five other former Idaho Attorneys General in describing that important position as “the …
VOTERS: Say it ain't so, Ben
Open letter to Ben Ysursa, Secretary of State, State of Idaho: Bring your ID and VOTE! Indeed!
PROPOSAL: No thanks, high-rise
Am I the only one who thinks high-rise and Coeur d’Alene should not be in the same sentence?
PROPS: Teachers deserve answers
Imagine this. You have finished college, and are now ready to begin your new career as a teacher. So you get a job in a great school district in Idaho. Naturally, you start asking some basic questions about what yo…
STOLEN: Valuables lost, friends found
My name is Betty Turner. Last week my house was robbed and some disgusting person kicked in my back door during the middle of the day and took my husband’s wedding ring, my wedding ring, my diamond tennis bracelet …
SOCIALISM: On one-way street
I came to this wonderful country as an immigrant 50-plus years ago from a country that embraced socialism. I see the writing on the wall in this country.
BELL: Three cheers for writer
Kudos to Shane Bell for his recent writings in The Press and especially the recent special section, “North Idaho Family!” As a recent emigre from Alaska, returning to my natal state, I found great welcome here over…

HJR2: More than meets the eye
If HJR2 were simply a restatement of what is already a right of Idahoans, then it is unnecessary at best. But it is not as harmless as it may appear.
FEDS: Short-selling America
This is our home. We took it as a house, my husband brush painted the whole outside. We put in hardwood flooring, painted inside and rejuvenated the landscape. It has a new roof, dishwasher and water heater.
SCHOOL: Closed minds a big risk
History tends to repeat itself, but never had I imagined it would occur in a school board.
SCHOOL: Vote yes for props
I agree with Bob Shillingstad that we must vote YES, YES, YES on the upcoming education initiatives.
