City to honor artists

The Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission will celebrate the city’s artistic excellence at the 30th annual Coeur d’Alene Arts Awards on Oct. 21 at the Hagadone Event Center.
The evening will feature performances by Chorale Coeur d’Alene, Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra, as well as performances by other prominent organizations and individuals from across the Inland Northwest. Poet Laureate Jen Passaro will perform an original poem composed for this occasion.
The event will be emceed by NIC Theatre Professor and Arts Commissioner Adam Kroeger and will also feature live and silent auctions.
Seven individuals and organizations will be honored for their contributions to the arts this year.
The Sandi Bloem Arts Legacy Award will be awarded to Anne Solomon.

Emerging Arts Award: North Idaho Film Festival
Arts in Education Award: Tim Sandford
Student Excellence in the Arts Awards: Evangeline Collett and Karsten Towery.
