Cd’A library presents 'Well-Read and Slightly Improper'

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation is hosting “Well-Read and Slightly Improper: The Songs and Satire of Tom Lehrer” at 7 p.m. Tuesday. This adult-only event promises an evening of “clever songs” and “questionable morals.”
Tom Lehrer was a popular musician in the 60s who wrote satirical lyrics about contemporary political and cultural issues. He was known for his wit and dark humor, which is displayed in songs such as “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park.”
This production is an homage to Lehrer, who died in July 2025. It features vocalist and musician Max Mendez, who was the director of choirs and vocal activities at North Idaho College for 18 years. It also features Callie Cabe, Julie Powell, and Deborah Rambo Sinn.
It is scheduled at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Community Room. Tickets are $45.
