PROP 1: Shame on Committeeman Neill

I am sure that Conservatives were upset when we learned on Friday that Committeeman Gary Neill (Pct 408) of the KCRCC, had endorsed Proposition 1 on the November ballot, which expands abortion to the point of “ fetal viability,” determined by any physician who makes a so-called “good faith medical judgment”. Basically, around 24 weeks, but who knows how far that definition can be stretched.

Plenty of others have already addressed Prop 1’s depravity; I will address Neill’s statement and reasoning directly.

Neil told the Cd’A Press, “Abortion isn’t an issue. Abortion is a fact. You have to accept it exists. It’s not going away. You need to take a more reasonable position than is current law in Idaho.”

Neill, your constituents aren’t stupid; we know abortion exists; that is the whole point. We are trying to end it! What the heck do you mean abortion isn’t an issue!? 

Idaho is one of the few states with the political will to nearly ban it. Prop 1 will murder more unborn babies — individuals in the eyes of God, mind you — we need to take the moral position!

Just because something seems inevitable, it doesn’t mean you should surrender. By that logic, Britain and France would be German; Finland and Poland, Soviet; Malta and Vienna, Ottoman; the US and Ireland, British; Athens and Sparta, Persian; South Korea and Berlin, Communist; etc.

Precinct 408 should be embarrassed for having Neill’s so-called “conservative, principled leadership” (NIR’s website claim), while he publicly supports the evil of abortion.

Shame on Committeeman Gary Neill and the NIR, with whom he is associated. Shame!
