Conservation officers seeking information about a bull elk shootings

Idaho Fish and Game conservation officers are seeking information about a bull elk unlawfully harvested on the evening of Sept. 12 in Unit 31. Officers believe the elk was a 6x6 antlered bull, last seen being transported out of the Adams Creek drainage. Witnesses say the individual was driving an early-2000s white Toyota Tacoma with a 1B license plate.

Fish and Game urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Callers can remain anonymous when reporting wildlife violations and may be eligible for cash rewards when that information leads to a citation for a wildlife crime.

Idaho Fish and Game is also seeking information regarding the illegal killing and waste of a bull elk in southeast Idaho.

A member of the public discovered the dead bull on Sellars Creek Road between Blackfoot Reservoir Road and Long Valley Road in Bingham County. The elk was shot from the road multiple times with a centerfire rifle sometime between Sept. 4 and Sept. 5, likely at night.

The elk was left to waste with only its antlers removed.

Known violations related to this case include killing a big game animal with a centerfire rifle during an archery-only season and waste of game.
