Coeur d'Alene man hurt in crash

A Coeur d'Alene resident was hurt in a crash early Thursday.

According to the Idaho State Police, a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a 39-year-old man was westbound on Interstate 90 when his vehicle crashed onto the embankment on the mile marker 12 off-ramp about 12:20 a.m. The driver was trapped underneath his vehicle and was eventually transported to Kootenai Health.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Coeur d’Alene Police, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, and Coeur d’Alene Fire and EMS.

The roadway was reopened about 2:45 a.m.

An investigation continues.
