PROP 1: On Press coverage

Add Kaye Thornbrugh’s Sept. 18 headline story to the majority list published by the Press this election cycle which lean toward Prop 1 support, using “Republican’s” quotes and Idahoans United statistics and quotes about “Republicans” signing the petition and being “communists” as justification for it’s passage. 

Article 14 American Family, Section 3 of the Republican Party State Platform clearly states that human life begins at conception, and that intentionally terminating that life, once begun, inside or outside the womb, is murder. If you don’t agree with that, or any other issue within the platform, then don’t insult us who do by claiming to be a true Idaho Republican. Own up and come out as the progressive you are who is far more in agreement with Democrat Party policies. 

It was obvious from Gary Neill’s statements before he was elected as my precinct’s committee person that such is the case with him, and his signing this petition supports not having received my vote. Abortion is still an issue, a very sad and horrific one, and his declaring that it is a “fact,” never to be eliminated in America, does not make it right or true. Vote No.
