GROWTH: Citizens shouldn’t pay

Why must the citizens pay for growth? Developers, builders, real estate agents, title companies, bankers, contractors, framers, lumber suppliers, city/county building departments and utility companies all profit or benefit (some a lot more than others); for example, a 600 unit apartment complex, new 1100 home neighborhood, 400 room hotel; but when it comes to the actual infrastructure required for those, it’s the current residents/longtime residents who pay the bill. We pay for it by force via utility bills, bonds, levies, traffic congestion, road construction delays, loss of our time (most limited thing on earth) access to public waterways, clean air, clean drinking water to enjoy that time. 

If it costs or funding needs secured for $43,000,000 in next two years to upgrade wastewater processing for the new growth, it needs to come out of the profit margins, not from the citizens who already get to enjoy all the negatives of those projects. PERIOD. 

We are paying for growth, sorry, AKA all the rats fleeing the sinking ships (states) they sunk using above formula of who pays, but now they can’t live or feel safe when they at the dock so let’s infest Idaho. Infestation is really the word that defines this areas growth. If everyone craps on floor, while only the ones that know what clean air & had clean air before, be forced to pay & scoop it up, the smell will soon be too much to ignore but too late to get it back. 

Infestations get worse with time so stop calling it growth. Only my opinion.
