BALLROOM: Response to Nordby

I wanted to correct you in regards to the 400 million dollars tax dollars “not” being spent on the White House ball room. It is being built strictly with donations. 

There is a good reason for building it and here it is: The new ballroom at the White House is needed to accommodate larger formal events and state dinners, as the current East Room has a limited capacity of 200 guests. Additionally, it aims to provide a secure venue for future presidents to host dignitaries and world leaders without the need for temporary structures.
