Pamela Rae (Walker) Frayn, 71

Pamela Rae (Walker) Frayn, 71, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Sept. 6, 2026. She was born on Dec. 14, 1954, in North Tonawanda, N.Y., to Delores Virginia Walker and Raymond Blanco Walker.

Pamela was a strong, hardworking woman who lived her life with a simple philosophy: Do no harm, but take no crap. She was fiercely independent, honest, dependable and never afraid to stand her ground. But beneath that strength was a deeply loving heart and an unwavering devotion to the people she called family.

Pamela’s greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her family was the center of her world. She loved more deeply than words can express and was the person you could count on when you needed someone. Pamela always showed up. Whether you needed a helping hand, a listening ear or simply someone in your corner, she was there.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Roger Applegate, and her eight children, Michael, Elizabeth, Kim, Julio, Emily, Bryan, Deanna and Erika.

She leaves behind 15 grandchildren who brought immense happiness and pride to her life: Joey, Orlando, Brandon, Selena, Luis, Yanelys, Yomar, Thomas, Justin, Kimmy, Antonio, Alyssa, Maci, Abby and Rori.

She was also a beloved great-grandmother to Dominic, Santana, Sophia, Aria, Gianna, Jorge and Jada.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Virginia Walker and Raymond Blanco Walker, and her brother, Edward Walker. She is survived by Edward’s wife, Betty Walker, and her sisters, Ginny Smith and her husband Dale Smith, and Beth Slater and her husband Doug Slater.

Pamela’s family will forever remember her strength, her loyalty, her hard work, her honesty and most of all, the enormous love she had for them. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered and forever loved.
