League of Women Voters of Kootenai County planning guide

Kootenai County candidates are receiving invitations to participate in Vote411.org, a free, nonpartisan online voter guide provided by The League of Women Voters of Kootenai County for the Nov. 3 election.

Candidates are being asked to send their campaign information, which will be entered into www.Vote411.org. When voters log in with their address, they will receive information pertinent to the races and issues on the ballots specific to their region and district.  

According to League President Mike Bullard, the online guide is a direct channel from each person running to the voters in their elections. It provides information from national elections to individual precincts.

The League of Women Voters has been a nonpartisan organization for over a hundred years and has been providing this guide since 2006.

In this election, voters will see races for U.S. and State of Idaho representatives and senators, as well as local races for county commissioner, county clerk, county treasurer, county assessor, and county coroner. 

Nonpartisan contests include magistrate judges and two positions on the NIC Board of Trustees. 

The ballot includes Proposition 1. Two Idaho Constitutional Amendments are also on the ballot: HJR 4 (grant the legislature exclusive authority and prohibit citizen-initiated measures on marijuana, narcotics, and psychoactive substances) and HJR 6 (English as an official state language).
