SENIORS: Everybody wins
I began my time with the Senior Companion program in 2021. This very valuable program has a mission to bring volunteers and anybody in need of companionship together. It has been going since 1971 around our country.
The program’s success is beneficial to those who are clients and, as I have learned over my time as a volunteer, to me and all the volunteers. We all WIN! As with many programs the biggest opportunity and the biggest challenge is having a sufficient number of volunteers.
This program needs YOU and anyone over the age of 55 who is willing give a few hours per week to share time with another. Clients can be any age.
To look further into what this program entails please contact the Panhandle Health District in Hayden. You will want to ask for Director Bill Steele. He is the Programs leader. (208) 415-5270. For me this program has brought many benefits into my life. I have learned a great deal. My service is appreciated by my clients and the Team.
Come and join us. You will be glad you did. We have a great team. We are active in the northern five (5) counties.
