MILITARY: Pampered, or media propaganda?

USS Abraham Lincoln is on its way home after 250 days at sea. There have been many stories of personnel complaining about conditions of the ship, having been the longest time at sea.

I have to believe this has been a fake news story defaming our volunteer Navy. There can be only two possible explanations.

One, is the current Navy is made up of pampered young personnel. They are not tough enough anymore like previous generations. How bad it must have been to fall asleep in their beds every night and to endure Navy food. The fear they must have felt every night, wondering if the ship would be attacked.

The other option is pure bull, made up by our current news media degrading our military. This new Democrat Socialist party is supported by people, who have no idea what communism is. Thanks in part to our education system for not teaching our children about the past.

In Vietnam we had to spend 365 days in the country. We did not have to worry about being attacked. We were always being attacked, by rockets, mortars and gun fire. You want to talk about a bed and food, give me a break. It was a little different  being on the ground in the Army. I don’t recall air conditioning, although I do recall outdoor showers.

Sorry, I have to believe our military is made up of stronger stuff. If not, then our nation is in decline.
