Sons of Norway Coeur d’Alene to host luncheon

| October 26, 2026 1:00 AM

Sons of Norway Coeur d’Alene Harald Haarfager Lodge will host its annual Lutefisk and Meatball Luncheon.

This popular cultural celebration brings a bit of Norway to North Idaho each year, as friends gather with family and neighbors to share a taste of the Old Country — Norway (or the Midwest)! Whether you have Norwegian roots or love good food and fellowship, everyone is welcome!

Tickets are on sale for this annual event, held Saturday, Nov. 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N 5th St.

The traditional lunch includes Nordic delicacies: lutefisk, Lefse, and Norwegian meatballs, prepared and served by Sons of Norway Harald Haarfager Lodge in Coeur d’Alene.

Enjoy classic favorites lovingly prepared the traditional way: tender meatballs in rich gravy, hand-rolled Lefse, and the famous (or infamous!) lutefisk, baked and served with all the trimmings: butter, cream sauce, and bacon bits. The meal also includes potatoes, carrots, pickled beets, and sandbakkels with ice cream.

Reservations are required. Two seatings are offered. Seating one is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and seating two is 2 to 3:30 p.m. Several local craft vendors will also have booths set up for early Juletider (Christmas time) shopping.

Reservations can be made before Nov.11, while space is still available. Please call or text the lodge at 208-262-8020 and provide your name, phone number, preferred seating time, and party size. You will receive a reply to confirm seating and payment options.

Meal tickets are $30 each for non-members, $25 for lodge members, and $15 for Youth ages 7-18. Meals for kids age six and under are free with adults. Family cost (parents and youth) is $70.
