Orchard Ridge volunteer donate $40,000

The Orchard Ridge Estate Sale volunteer team once again demonstrated the extraordinary impact of service, generosity, and community spirit, contributing $40,000 this year to support resident programs and purchase new furnishings for Memory Care at Orchard Ridge Senior Living.
This dedicated group volunteered more than 2,800 hours throughout the year preparing inventory, sorting and pricing thousands of items, organizing advertising, and conducting estate sales.
Their work provides invaluable support to families facing major life transitions, including the loss of a loved one or the difficult process of downsizing and moving into senior living.
For many clients, managing an entire household of belongings can feel overwhelming. The Orchard Ridge Estate Sale volunteers handle every detail with professionalism, compassion, and respect, helping families navigate these transitions with dignity and peace of mind, a press release said.
The volunteer organization has served the community since the 1970s, raising funds to support Orchard Ridge Senior Living and its residents. Along the way, members have built lasting friendships and a strong sense of purpose through serving others, working together on meaningful projects, and providing well-organized estate sales for the community.
“Beyond the funds raised, the volunteers provide an incredible service to local families during some of life’s most challenging moments,” said Orchard Ridge leadership. “Their commitment and compassion make a lasting difference.”
Although the team is taking a well-deserved break through the holiday season, they look forward to returning to service in the new year as new estate sale opportunities arise, the release said.
