STUDENTS: Future of the community

My name is Macie Lilyquist. I graduated from Lake City High School in 2024. I attended Coeur d’Alene public schools from 1st grade until graduation. I am currently a junior at the University of Idaho majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and Psychology. My education in the Coeur d’Alene School district prepared me to go on and pursue my educational goals.

I want to take a moment to encourage all Coeur d’Alene voters to support the school district replacement levy. Without the levy, the district will lose 25% of their budget. I feel like the school district provided me with a well-rounded education. Besides having challenging classes, I was involved in many extracurricular activities to include student council and soccer. Without 25% of the budget, future students will not be able to have these same experiences. Current and future students of the Coeur d’Alene school district deserve a quality education. Strong communities have strong public schools.

We are the future of our community. Please vote yes on Nov. 3.
