ELECTION: Voters are confused

| October 18, 2026 1:00 AM

On a recent visit to Northern California, I noticed voters there are being asked to vote on over 25 proposals in Sonoma County, on one ballot. That means that the 39 million residents of the entire State have to educate themselves on every one of those propositions and candidates. How many residents will actually do the homework? Answer: very few. We get constantly inundated with the phrase, “ save our democracy.” Well, isn’t democracy great when the biggest state in the union has a ballot that is more confusing than reading an electronic schematic of a CPU? It is no wonder that California is so screwed up.
