Send us your spooky sights and scary stories

| October 16, 2026 1:00 AM

Burgundy leaves litter the sidewalks, and a chill in the evening air signals that spooky season has arrived. October is here, and ghosts and skeletons are popping up across Kootenai County as Halloween approaches.

The Coeur d’Alene Press wants to hear your stories of local hauntings or paranormal encounters for Part IV of The Spooky Series in The Press's Coeur Voice section. If you have a firsthand, true encounter with something spooky and want to share it with us, we want to hear from you. Send submissions to [email protected] by Wednesday, Oct. 21.

We also want to share the best Halloween decorations the county has to offer. If you or your neighbor went above and beyond for Halloween this year, we want to hear from you.

Please send stories, tips, or photos of Halloween decor to this year’s Halloween reporter, Audrey Herrin, at [email protected].
