Cd’A women elected to Idaho Federation of Republican Women board
COEUR d’ALENE — Becky Funk and Catherine Bedford, both of Coeur d’Alene, were elected to leadership positions on the executive board of the Idaho Federation of Republican Women.
Funk was elected state president, while Bedford was elected Congressional District 1 director.
Funk is a founding member and current president of North Idaho Federated Republican Women. She has previously served the Idaho Federation of Republican Women as first vice president and Congressional District 1 director.
Bedford is a 10-year member of Kootenai County Republican Women Federated, where she served as secretary and was the IFRW Caring for America Chair the past four years.
The Idaho Federation of Republican Women, established in 1944, is affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women.
"Believing that an educated woman is one of the most powerful influences there is, the IFRW brings together Republican women’s clubs throughout Idaho to encourage political participation, develop leaders, support Republican candidates, and promote informed involvement in government and community affairs," a press release said.
Other newly elected officers of the IFRW Executive Board included 1st Vice President Andrea Graf of Star, 2nd Vice President LaVerne Sessions of Salmon, Secretary Alexandra Caval of Twin Falls, Treasurer Darlene Simpson of Lewiston and Congressional District 2 Director Tiana Abel of Pocatello.
