| October 2, 2026 1:15 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — Senior Camryn Woodman had 13 kills and 12 digs, junior Ella Jeanselme 10 kills, 12 digs and one ace for the visiting Lake City Timberwolves in a 25-23, 25-13, 26-24 win over the Coeur d’Alene Vikings on Thursday at Viking Court.

“We always expect a battle when playing Coeur d’Alene and we knew they’d be ready for us since it was such a tight turnaround from our last matchup,” said Lake City coach Michelle Kleinberg, whose team defeated Coeur d’Alene at home in four sets on Sept. 23. “They are really tough to finish games against because they don’t quit. I’m proud of my team continuing to find a way to win during this important stretch of the season. This one felt good with an incredibly exciting game on Saturday under the lights.”

Senior Kate Moglia had 36 assists, three kills and eight digs and sophomore Sonia-Rei Fong 14 digs for Lake City (17-8, 2-1 6A IEL), which hosts Mt. Spokane on Saturday at Van Troxel Field.

“We battled tonight, but at times we struggled to execute consistently,” Coeur d’Alene coach Carly Curtis said. “Eva had a solid performance in both the back and front row, and our setters worked hard to give our hitters the best chance for success. We showed moments of what we’re capable of, and our challenge is to sustain that level of play and finish when we have opportunities.”
