ACHILLES: Opportunity for Idaho

Idaho has an opportunity to vote for Todd Achilles to represent us as our next U.S. Senator. Todd is running as an Independent, stepping away from the broken two-party system. He is veteran who has served our country, with a sworn oath to the Constitution.

Now is not the time to stay loyal to political parties, there is too much at stake. If we stop to consider, most of us are Independent. We most likely do not agree with each party platform and might be more alike than not. At our tables, we should agree that we want the best for our family and the next generation. Now, how do we get there?

Let’s start with… One legislative issue/one bill/one vote — not a behind close door with clogged bills filled with special interests. End gerrymandering — representation and working together matters. Ending Citizens United — which allows corporations to contributions, let individual contributions elect their representatives. Term limits — broadening representation rather than career politicians. Strengthening ethics in Congress — let’s end day trading. Ending an illegal war with Iran. Focusing on building a better America. Best part of these ideas… they’re already Todd’s commitment to us!

We hold our values, our beliefs, and our hands over our hearts stating, “with liberty and justice for all.” Let’s start with those tenets as we consider who we choose to “represent” us, and what we hold dear. Integrity matters.

Let’s come together… as strong Idahoans and as a United States.
