POST FALLS — StanCraft announced Wednesday that Templin's on the River hotel will be temporarily closed Oct. 23 in an effort to "reposition" the property. Remodeling or redevelopment are both on the table.

Marina 33 will remain open and fully operational amid the hotel's closure.

“Templin’s has been a staple of Post Falls for generations,” a press release said. “As proud stewards of this iconic property, we believe taking the time to thoughtfully evaluate its future is the right way to ensure Templin’s continues to create memorable experiences for generations to come."

Since acquiring the hotel, bar and marina in 2024, StanCraft and its investment partners have refreshed or upgraded many amenities, including new food and beverage offerings, grounds enhancement and the expansion of Marina 33.

Following an assessment of the property's potential, the ownership group determined that the best path forward is to close the hotel while it evaluates next steps. The goal is to continue elevating the Templin's on the River experience while also preserving the roots of the property, the release said.

"We are committed to honoring Templin’s legacy and the natural beauty of the river while building an extraordinary destination that brings families, neighbors and visitors together, strengthening the Post Falls community we call home,” StanCraft said in the release.

While next steps are evaluated, Marina 33 will remain open and "central" to StanCraft's vision for the waterfront. Stancraft said it will continue investing in Marina 33 and said expanded amenities may include boat and water sport rentals; a new fixed pier boardwalk along the water's edge; a public side-tie and day parking for boats and slip rentals and slip ownership opportunities.

“Marina 33 is where this community comes together,” said StanCraft. “From live music on the docks to families spending the day on the water, this is the kind of gathering place the Spokane River deserves — and we’re just getting started.”

Marina 33 will remain fully operational while the hotel is closed.
