After 740 house calls, North Idaho Wound Care opens in Post Falls

POST FALLS — North Idaho Wound Care, a mobile wound care practice serving patients across North Idaho, will open its first outpatient clinic on Monday.

The clinic will offer both wound care and family practice services and will see patients by appointment Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 3773 W. 5th Ave., Suite 305, in Post Falls. 

To celebrate the opening, the community is invited to a meet-and-greet with Jennifer Stallings, ARNP, from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the clinic. 

Until now, North Idaho Wound Care has treated patients where they live — at home and in care facilities. The Post Falls clinic adds a second option: patients who are able to travel can now come to a dedicated office for assessment, treatment and follow-up. Mobile visits will continue for patients who are homebound or have difficulty getting to appointments.

Demand for that care has grown quickly. Since May, the practice has completed more than 740 patient visits, reaching 150 visits in July alone.

"Wounds that won't heal take a real toll on people's health, mobility and independence," said Jennifer Stallings, ARNP, of North Idaho Wound Care.

The Post Falls clinic will also provide family practice services, such as checkups, care for illnesses and minor injuries. Having wound care and primary care under one roof lets patients get help with the health problems that often slow healing, all in a single visit, a press release said.

"Bringing care to patients' homes has always been at the heart of what we do. Opening a clinic in Post Falls lets us see more people, sooner, and gives patients and their families a choice in how they receive care," Stallings said.
