REPORT: Hospital options

Years ago I went to a local clinic, that helped people with no insurance, with a torn tendon in my shoulder. The clinic referred me to hospital A for an MRI, and I was told it was expensive and I would have to make payments. A friend told me to check out hospital B for an MRI. Hospital B cost considerably less for an MRI, and I had the ability to pay for the MRI without payments.

Years later 1 got another injury that needed an MRI. A doctor referred me to hospital A and told me they were expensive, and Medicaid might not cover the total bill. Again, I went to hospital B for the MRI, and the bill was totally covered by Medicaid.

We live in a free capitalist society where the incentive is to produce the best product for the best price. The message of this report is to check out all your options and give the hospital producing the best product for the best price your business.
