Borrenpohl: Sets bad precedent for public meetings

Town meeting decorum rules specifically prohibit disruptive behavior such as shouting, personal insults, profanity and interrupting speakers. Failure to abide by these common decorum rules during public meetings “can result in warnings, ejection or police removal” 

Borrenpohl was provided her constitutional rights and allowed to be heard. Yet she continued to disrupt the meeting by shouting and interrupting the speaker, which ironically prevented others in attendance from being heard. 

Should a precedent be set to allow similar unruly behavior at other public meetings, such as hearings, city council or school board meetings? Of course not.
