PRICE: Elaine 4 Coeur d’Alene

We have two candidates running for seat 4B in the Idaho House. Incumbent Elaine Price has been our representative in Boise for the last four years.

Here are strong reasons to reelect her:

1) She sits on the Joint Finance Appropriations Committee with abundant institutional knowledge. This committee has 10 members from the house and 10 members from the Senate, 20 folks who work every day all session on constructing a budget for the entire state. To this position she brings integrity, consistency, a clear focus on needed spending and the high respect of fellow legislators. One example is her vote in favor of H974. This was 6,695,000 for Idaho State police.

2) Another example of her work for District 4 is from the 2023 session. Elaine was directly involved in stopping HB 226 and 315 which would have undermined the locally elected North Idaho College board and given control to the state.

3) Before JFAC Elaine was on the Education committee. Here she brought a strong focus on academics and work career training grounded in the principles of a free society and parental rights. And she strongly supports the “fairness in women’s sports act.”

4) She voted for H626 which supports collection of impact fees for jails and courthouses.

5) She voted for S1336 requiring an expanded curricula in the civics of liberty for public education.

Elaine is a woman of consistent sterling character, is highly respected by her peers in the legislature, brings high value institutional knowledge to the job, and sits on the influential joint budget committee. She is a great advocate for our local concerns.
