NORTH IDAHO: So many changes, mostly bad

For the last 50 years, we have resided in North Idaho and seen so many changes, both in the city of Coeur d’Alene and in the county. Some good changes, and more bad ones. We have lost the small-town flavor of Coeur d’Alene and the housing boom is destroying our farmland in the county.

Now we are witnessing the destruction of our wonderful Farragut Park. Lady Bird Johnson would turn over in her grave if she could see how the park is getting butchered.

I really feel bad for the young folks who are affected by all this madness. We are older and won’t be around for the aftermath. Thank God.
