Deadline for entries is 6 p.m. May 21

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center will present a Children's Art Show as part of Post Falls' Heritage Food Festival from noon to 6 p.m. May 30.

The show will celebrate the creativity and talent of young artists from across the community — colorful, bold and full of heart. The exhibition will be displayed outdoors alongside the Heritage Food Festival, giving families and neighbors the chance to see the next generation of Post Falls creatives shine.

"This show is about giving kids a real moment to be seen as artists," JACC Executive Director Darla Dreyer said in a news release. "Alongside great food, music and community, their work gets the audience it deserves."

Youth artists are invited to submit up to two pieces of artwork through the online submission form at thejacklincenter.org. The submission deadline is 6 p.m. May 21. Art may be dropped off at the JACC, 405 N. William St., Post Falls, from 3 to 6 p.m. May 20 and 21.

The show will remain on display through June 11, with art available for pickup that evening.

The Children's Art Show will be free and open to the public.

The Heritage Food Festival is presented by the JACC, the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce and the city of Post Falls as part of the America 250 Celebration, with proceeds benefiting a new Post Falls veterans memorial.
