MATTARE: Re-elect for county commissioner

| May 6, 2026 1:00 AM

The County Commissioner race deserves real attention. Kootenai County is growing fast — too fast — and the decisions being made now will shape what this community looks like in five, 10, even 20 years.

That’s why I support Commissioner Bruce Mattare for re-election.

Mr. Mattare approaches the job the right way: he digs into the details, asks tough questions, and makes decisions based on facts and what’s best for the county. He doesn’t bend to outside pressure or special interests. Whether it’s budgeting, public safety, or growth, he takes the time to understand the long-term impact before casting his vote.

He also brings real-world perspective, including service in the Army National Guard, which shows in how he does the job — steady, practical, and accountable.

His opponent may have good intentions, but this isn’t a role where you learn as you go. County government is complex, and experience matters from day one.

With the pace of growth and the stakes involved, there’s no margin for trial and error. Kootenai County needs leadership that is already tested and capable.

Bruce Mattare has proven his dedication to doing what’s best for this county. He has earned another term.
