LAKELAND: Vote Heasty for school board

I am writing to show my support for Ryan Heasty as he runs for Lakeland School Board (Zone 2) to replace Ramona Grissom in 2027. Ryan will help return the Lakeland School Board back to an esteemed entity.

Ryan has over 20 years of experience in public education in a variety of roles. He is currently a middle school teacher in the Post Falls School District.

I have witnessed him teach and lead; he makes each decision based on what is best for students.

Ryan believes:

• Students learn best when they feel safe, both physically and emotionally.

• Teachers and staff perform best when they feel supported and trusted to do the job they were hired to do. The current board’s desire to enhance their control through Policy 1410 does not show faith in the Superintendent. Hire the best and give them the freedom to be their best!

• Communities are at their greatest when the people of the community feel they have a voice. It is Ryan’s desire to collaborate with the community and be transparent in his decisions.

One of Ryan’s top priorities is for the LJSD Board to rejoin the Idaho School Board Association.

Ryan believes the job of public education is to prepare students for the next level and to be successful citizens in our communities.
