HENSLEY: Vote for her as county commissioner
I believe that there is a distinct advantage when someone who doesn’t NEED the job simply does the job for the right reasons, and that is what voters will have with Julie Hensley. She is the clear choice for Kootenai County Commissioner. As the CPA that has done her work, and known her and her family for several years, I can share observations that only a close business contact would have normally:
1. She asks questions after researching other information. Julie Hensley takes full advantage of my open door throughout the year, but only after weighing options herself. She has never gone into a business decision unprepared and that says volumes about the level of service our county will receive if she is elected.
2. She is successful on three distinct levels — family, career, and personal business development. Her husband and Julie own a successful business and have other holdings that make this position unnecessary for her to have either an income stream or county benefits. She is doing this from a position of purely, as she puts it, wanting to protect what makes Kootenai County home.
3. Planning, I swear, is in her DNA. She has not had to walk back any decision she’s made since I have known her; because she is smart to weigh all options.
4. Family and community are first. She and Josh are committed to their children and their extended family, as well as their community. She has created a life that allows her to be available for the county’s best interest and to serve.
I hope this has given you some insight into an amazing woman that I think will work well for us, but more importantly, will also work well with others.
