WOLVES: Don’t deserve cruelty

Who but a detestable, sadistic coward would get a sickening thrill in running down (and running over) a beautiful wolf with an ugly, lifeless snowmobile that he admires more than one of God’s most beautiful creations — and taping its mouth shut and shamelessly displaying his cruelty inside a Wyoming bar? 

Magnificent wolves live with a courage, majesty, nobility, honor and innocence that this infamous person, Cody Roberts, will never approach. And these qualities of wolves never die. 

This noble wolf wanted to live and had a right to live, just as you do; and never deserved the atrocious torture you so hideously and unconscionably brought upon it — without an ounce of remorse — with a snowmobile (without which you would never have had the strength to get near this innocent wolf).  

Leonardo da Vinci admonishes us: “Those who do not value all of life are not worthy of it themselves.” 

The stigma of your cowardly, merciless act shames your name forever. And you have become the poster child of our shameless, materialistic, hedonistic society — a society that Pope John Paul II labeled “the culture of death” — that is insatiable in its pursuit of depraved thrills and excitement, alienated from nature and totally devoid of all reverence for life and any moral and ethical accountability for its behavior.  

The recent shooting of three wolves by Idaho Fish & Game, which thinks killing is the only solution to the questionable decline of elk populations (poachers kill many times more elk than wolves) contributes to the shameful devaluation of wolves and the disgraceful attitude towards them — and leads to the further brutalization of America. What a shame!
