FULCHER: Hard to find in North Idaho

Kaylee Peterson is here, where is Russ Fulcher?

During the week of the Lincoln Day Dinner, Kaylee Peterson came to town. Kaylee is a Democrat and a candidate for the U.S. Congress, running for Russ Fulcher’s seat. Kaylee has been running for this seat for four years! She has traveled 100,000 miles in Idaho talking to citizens that are Republicans, Democrats and Independents. Kaylee is asking everyone what issues are important to them and why. All of Idaho’s citizens are informing Kaylee’s platform, because she believes that elected officials serve everyone. Like me, many of those citizens have never had anyone ask them about their concerns. 

Kaylee came to Coeur d’Alene for a full week in February intentionally, while Congressman Fulcher was in town for the Lincoln Day Dinner. Kaylee has repeatedly asked to debate Russ and he has never been available. Kaylee let him know that she would be in town. He was unable to meet with her, again. 

Over the last year I have attended five in-person Kaylee Peterson events. Russ Fulcher is harder to find. I was able to get on one telephone town hall he held answering pre-screened questions. Russ’s recent House votes impact the sale of Idaho’s public lands. He voted against publishing the names of representatives that use a slush fund to pay off victims of sexual harassment. They use taxpayer funds for this slush fund! Russ, isn’t it time for you to show up and explain your actions to voters. Are you hiding?
