ITD warns of statewide DMV scam texts

BOISE — The Idaho Transportation Department is warning residents about a wave of scam text messages circulating across the state. 

These messages often claim that you must pay a traffic citation online or that a vehicle registration is overdue. 

A press release Tuesday said they are fraudulent and not connected to ITD or any official DMV services.

ITD advises against clicking any links or providing personal or payment information.
