LEGION BASEBALL: Howard fuels Prairie victory

SPOKANE — Timothy Howard went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and three runs scored, and the Prairie Cardinals charged from behind with 11 runs in the sixth inning to beat Baden Islanders Upperclass 18U 16-9 on Sunday at Whitworth University.

Andrew Olson went 3 for 5 with three runs scored, and also pitched four innings of relief for Prairie (10-11-1).

Howard’s two-run single broke a 6-6 tie in the sixth for the Cardinals. Grady Stinson added a two-run single for the Cardinals, and Toby Begalman also singled in a run.
