ISP investigating fatal e-bike crash

SPIRIT LAKE — A Bonner County man died after he was thrown from his electric bicycle and injured, Idaho State Police said.
ISP troopers said the 35-year-old Spirit Lake male was riding the bicycle when he lost control on the right shoulder and thrown from the bicycle at about 8:37 p.m. Friday. The man was wearing a motorcycle style helmet.
Life-saving efforts were made on scene by fire personnel; however, the bicyclist ultimately succumbed to his injuries, ISP said.
Next of kin has been notified. The highway was blocked for approximately 3 hours.
The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
