Deone 'Patty' Victoria Anderson, 83
Deone Victoria Anderson, lovingly known as "Patty," passed away peacefully of natural causes June 20, 2026, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the age of 83. Born on Sept. 4, 1942, in Wapato, Wash., to Agnes McCaslin and Victor Lucas, Patty was raised in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, alongside her siblings, Oliver Lucas, Linda Sauer and Joanie Babbit.
On Aug. 23, 1958, Patty married the love of her life, Gerald "Jerry" Magner Anderson. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work and caring for others. Their partnership remained the foundation of Patty's life until Jerry's passing in 2003.
Together, they owned and operated several family businesses, including Jerry's Body Shop, Sunset Towing, Sunset Taxi and Sunset Motors. Patty's dedication, resilience and tireless work ethic helped build a legacy that continues through her family today.
Patty was a devoted mother to Rick Anderson, Mike Anderson and Sherry "Sis" Anderson McKay. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Cindy Taylor and Terena Anderson, and by Shelly Anderson, who remained a beloved member of the family.
She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Tasker Roberts, Travis McKay, Michelle McKay, Amanda Herrera, Kelsey Dos Santos, Jerad Anderson, Brooke Vig, Matthew Anderson and Vanessa Clements. She also welcomed their spouses and partners as members of her family.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Ashlyn, Drew, Jillian, Emily, Aiden, Antonio, Harlen, Carson, Hazel, Candace, Jerry, Conley, Wyatt, Pedro Jr. and Jade.
She is also survived by her sister, Linda Sauer; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and countless friends. Later in life, Patty also had the opportunity to connect with several half-siblings, relationships she treasured despite having only a short time together.
Known affectionately to many as "Grandma Pat" and "Aunt Pat," Patty welcomed people into her life with open arms. She believed family was created not only by blood, but also through love, loyalty, and kindness. Friends, neighbors, in-laws, and children who crossed her path quickly became part of her ever-growing family.
Whether attending graduations, concerts, recitals, sporting events, birthdays, or holiday gatherings, Patty found her greatest joy in celebrating the people she loved. Her home was the heart of countless family dinners, Christmas celebrations, and treasured traditions that will continue for generations. She also found great joy tending her flower gardens, which reflected the same care and beauty she brought to the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanie Babbit; her beloved husband, Gerald "Jerry" Anderson; her mother, Agnes McCaslin; her brother, Oliver Lucas; and her father, Victor Lucas.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of First Light, Sarah, Jodi, Jen, Rebecca, Emily, Ashlyn, Cindy, Michelle, Connie, Rick, Zackary, Travis and the many friends and family members whose kindness and support brought comfort during Patty's final days.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 9 a.m. Patty will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Jerry, at Riverview Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held during Labor Day weekend in celebration of what would have been Patty's 84th birthday.
Patty's greatest legacy was the family she built, the traditions she created, and the unconditional love she shared so freely. Her kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
