Bonners Ferry man hurt in crash

A Bonners Ferry man was hurt in a crash on U.S. 95 on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Idaho State Police, the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was northbound about 12:20 when he tried to pass multiple vehicles and collided with a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup as the truck was attempting to turn from U.S. 95 near milepost 496 in Boundary County. 

The 41-year-old rider of the Harley Davidson was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious injuries.  He was transported to a hospital via Life Flight, ISP said. 

The Dodge was driven by a 21-year-old female, also from Bonners Ferry. She was not hurt.

Traffic on U.S. 95 was blocked in both directions for about one and a half hours.

An investigation continues. Any witness that did not give a statement on scene is asked to call ISP, 208-209-8620.
