50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Denny and Cathy Keim

Denny and Cathy were married in Rupert, Idaho, on July 3, 1976.

Denny was a banker with First Security Bank of Idaho and Cathy was a registered nurse. Both continued their careers over the next 35 years. They moved several times in Idaho with Denny's career. He was with First Security in Rupert, Twin Falls, Pocatello and Coeur d'Alene. He was later employed by Mountain West Bank for seven years and retired in 2008.

Cathy continued her nursing career in Burley and Pocatello. She then started her own yoga studio in their home on Breezy Way in Post Falls for the next 10 years. 

They now reside in Coeur d'Alene on Cherry Hill. They are the proud parents of Schon, Traci and Chris, all living in Coeur d'Alene. Denny had a stepson, Brian, who passed away in 2023 at his home in Oregon. They have seven grandchildren all living in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls.

MILITARY

Jordan Keough, a former student of Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy and a native of Coeur d’Alene, has graduated from the National War College, part of the National Defense University, on June 11, 2026 in Washington, D.C.

The National War College is among the United States’ premier institutions for strategic studies, preparing senior military officers and civilian leaders for high-level national security decision-making. Selection to attend represents a significant professional milestone, reflecting sustained superior performance and demonstrated leadership potential across a career of service.

While at the National War College, Keough completed an intensive curriculum focused on national security strategy, joint and interagency operations, and the integration of all instruments of national power. His work contributed to developing strategic-level perspectives with a focused group strategy project on US nuclear deterrence strategy and policy.

The 2026 graduating class included senior leaders from across the U.S. Armed Forces, federal agencies, as well as international partner nations, highlighting the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of the program.

Following graduation, Keough will continue his naval service at the Office of the Secretary of Defense Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation Office’s Naval Forces Division. In that role he will provide strategic planning and insight, applying the insights and expertise he gained while at the National War College to support national security objectives.
