HIGHLANDS SALE: Questions need answers

My thoughts on the Highlands golf course sale are there are a lot of under the table meetings and decisions that happen and most of the public are completely unaware. I see concern of the immediate community (can’t blame them). Just doesn’t seem like there’s much transparency anymore. Much development everywhere: growth, growth and more growth. Hayden, potential houses on Canfield Mountain (but that is privately owned), but still potential development, and now another big chunk of acreage. Without knowing the big picture, just makes me and maybe others wonder as well, might it eventually be used for the much talked about “data center(s).” 

Again I think those nearby that land have every right to know what the BIG picture is. Pretty much money always defeats the little guy, sad but true. The course owners have the right to sell, and since land is high demand, why not: ka-ching $$$. Just be up front with all of us here in Kootenai County. 

Gonna miss the course owners have, but buyers will do what buyers do I suppose. We can now compare here what happened in Los Angeles in the late 1940s to early 1950s — look at it now, and look what has happened here. Good luck to those that live up there.
