Faith & Fitness Quest awards first winners

A local competition challenging participants in both faith and fitness is gaining momentum, with its first monthly winners taking home cash prizes. 

The monthly contest is open to all ages 14-plus with a driver’s license or permit or residence in the six Northwest states, with competitors ultimately vying to become grand champion and win a new Jeep Gladiator annually.

The Faith & Fitness Quest encourages spiritual growth and physical activity through monthly self-guided challenges. Participants complete activities using a mobile app and interact with the Faith Walk Community Fitness Park at 4971 Atlas Road in Coeur d'Alene. To join, visit any of the park's 16 fitness gazebos, scan a QR code and begin the Quest.

The inaugural month produced three winners. Amy Pinkerton earned the gold medal and $1,000, Rebekah Pinkerton took silver and $200, and Alex Henkoski won bronze and $100. All three advanced from Realm 1 into the Realm 2 “Battle-Forged Remnant” Top 10 Faith Quest standings. Only Amy Pinkerton as gold medalist moves forward to the Realm 3 “Champion’s Circle.”

Throughout the year, 30 monthly gold medalists will earn spots in the Realm 3 Champion's Circle. The annual winner from the Champion’s Circle will be named the Guardian Warrior Grand Champion and receive the Jeep Gladiator. To advance, competitors must first finish among the Top 10 in either the Faith Quest or Fitness Quest to qualify for the monthly Realm 2 competition, and ultimately earn one of three monthly gold medals when the Fitness Quest and the Faith & Fitness Quest begins May 1, 2027.

Each month, new gold, silver and bronze medalists will receive cash prizes of $1,000, $200 and $100 in the Faith Quest until the Guardian Warrior Arena is built and the Fitness Quests begin May 1, 2027. Then the cash prizes will be given to the gold, silver, and bronze medalists in the combined Faith & Fitness Quest championships monthly.

The next monthly Realm 2 Battle-Forged Remnant competition is this Saturday at 10 a.m. by the Faith Walk’s Champion’s Cove.

The public is welcome to come witness and participate in the event, which includes a real knight in shining armor presentation during the 10 to 11:30 a.m. competition, followed by a public sword-fighting challenge with $20 award to anyone of any age who can beat the Faith Walk’s knight in the arena, in a three-round sword fight (using foam swords). Bring your charcoal and grill your hamburgers and hot dogs at the Park’s Cathedral Pavilion picnic area. 

Faith Walk Community Fitness Park was created as a place where faith, fitness, family and community come together. Open to the public, the park offers fitness stations, gathering spaces, community events and challenges for people of all ages.
